To hear the Tugu Tani accident; a drunk (and drugged) woman accidentally killed 9 persons. If I'm not mistaken she thought she hit the brake while actually hit the opposite.
For me, if there's dead body already, there'll be no excuse. No. Excuse.
Unfortunately (if I'm not mistaken again) Indonesia law doesn't take 'killing under the influences of narcotics or alcohol' as a murder case, they only categorized it as 'under the influences of narcotics or alcohol' case. In my opinion, she should be sue for both case, 'under the influences of narcotics or alcohol' and murder.
No matter how nice she was, no matter how religious she was, no matter how much she already did for humanity, no matter what; there are dead bodies already (plural for god sake!!), so there's no excuse. No excuse.

mbak Henny is one of my closest cousin, she's 3 years older than me, and today she's finally getting married to mas Fajar after over six months delayed because of mbak Henny's dad (my uncle) sudden death two months before the first wedding plan.
she'll live out of town after the wedding, somehow I feel kinda sad like something's missing, but over all, I'm so happy for her. I love you so much mbak Henny, hope you'll have a happily ever after marriage and blessed with cute kids. *hugs* :')

Verena, my friend who lives in Adelaide, is in town for Christmas and new year; and this is what she brought for me (as I requested to her).

a real copy of the latest Frankie magazine!!!
I'm a fan of this Australian art/design/fashion magazines, but due to the expensive price and shipping fee, I never really bought the original copy and just downloaded it.

Oh and my dad just bought me this, I don't know it's a new release CD or not, but it's been a long time since the last time I listened to his song, so I consider it as a new album (for me); and same as his other album I've listened - the one with Adelaide Sky song in it (I'm not a real fan, so I didn't keep in track for his latest info), it's a super gloomy but pretty nice album.

Okay, I gotta admit it, that actually this series has a ~~bit~~ super cheesy (and dreamy) story, it sometimes feels like watching Indonesian soap opera, but what the hell, lets say this series is my guilty pleasure. :D
I like Rachel Bilson, as always and she's the reason I watched it at the first time, and I also super like Wade (played by Wilson Bethel). I even like the annoying Lemon Breeland.

Anyway, I've just watched the fifth episode and there's this scene where Wade sang my favorite song.

I guess soap opera is the next Korean madness for me. ;D
And this guy is the next aink; okay it's pretty hard to find his 'good' picture from google (I don't even like the one I've attached on this post, tho' it's already the one I called the best I could find), but once you watch the movie you'll see what I see, haha..

*oh but my number one favorite series at this moment is still How I Met Your Mother; and followed by New Girl, they have way better stories.

One of the worst thing that could happen to a design consultant office just happened in my office.

Black out.

Yes, today, there's a sudden electrical problem in my office building, that cause a very long black out after my lunch break. Then after more than an hour, at 4:30 PM my boss finally said 'I think we can just go home.' And like thirty seconds after he said that (yes, not until a minute) the electricity is on.

Wow! *face expression will work much more than words here.

My boss is still going anyway, he said he'll be back later at night, because he already lost the feel of working.
I actually at the same position, I mean the tempt of going home is sweeping my brain away. I feel like doing nothing but get home, turn the air-con on and sleep or just do something else funner than working.
But I am not the boss, so I am staying.

And writing this post instead of working.

My Aunt went to South Korea last month, she asked me what I wanted as a gift, then I answered I want the Super Junior 05 CD with Siwon on the cover. It was supposed to be a joke, I mean yes, I like Super Junior, I admit it, but not in ‘that way’ actually.
So, it turned out that my aunt didn’t have the time to search for the CD so she asked her Korean best friend who would visit Indonesia the next month to find the CD for me.
Turned out, she couldn’t make it to Indonesia this month, because she has to go to Mongolia (or so); so I kinda already forgot about all of that. Until…

Last Tuesday my aunt texted me ‘Mbak Dike, please come to my house after office, I’ve got a surprise for you’; I was clueless at the first time, till the next day, I remembered about the ‘gift’ I’ve ever asked a month ago. So I told her ‘I can’t make it home till weekend, but is it the Super Junior CD?’. And my aunt didn’t reply.
Friday night, after office, I went straight to my aunt house, expect for a normal 12x12cm CD of Super Junior latest album. But this is what I’ve found.

Yes, a giant box, I thought my aunt’s friend probably send some additional gift for my aunt and her family, but apparently no. She just sent my ‘gift’. So I just opened it, aaaand this is what I’ve found next.

A 30x30cm unusual package for a CD, I was out of my mind and thought ‘Is this actually a laser disc? I don’t even have the device to play a laser disc!’
But I kinda forgot the laser disc problem after I saw the graphic. Here’s the fact, my aunt and her family is a very, very, veeeery religious Moslem, they even have their house just two houses away from the mosque so my uncle can have his prayers at the mosque, my aunt wears veil since college, and my cousins go to Islamic school, plus my cousins are only 4 and 8 years old. And now, there’s a package came to their house with this pictures printed on it.

Remember, it’s a 30x30cm CD package, so it makes the Siwon’s close up abs up there 30x60cm big.
That’s it?
No.
There’s also this ‘bazooka’ like cylinder. That turned out to be a package of a poster. I was so so so afraid that it would be more of Siwon’s abs explosion in my aunt’s very religious house atmosphere, so I took a peek before open it.

Thank God it wasn’t Siwon’s close up abs in A2++ size.

So, thank you very much tante Eni, I’m so sorry I’ve ever asked you to gave me this kind of gift.
And of course the biggest thanks would be for Youkang-ah. Really, thank you so so so much Youkang, my aunt told me that you’re actually not really into Korean boyband, so it was really a homework for you to find the CD. Oh, and you even got me a poster, a big big poster! And packed it all nicely and posted it immediately after your visit cancellation. I really owe you so much. I’ll send you a feedback. Just wait and see!! ;)

From Irine -- November 2008

I just finished walking around through the 'time machine'.

I accidentally opened a folder named 'more and more from Irine'

Irine is my retired N73 Nokia camera phone,

the folder contains of lots of unsorted pictures,

1,047 pictures to be exact,

the oldest one is from July 2008, the newest is from October 2010.

I suddenly realized, I went through a lot,

and one thing I can take from this 'journey':

everything is a bout time.

To heal the broken heart, to pay the disappointment,

to forgive the ones that cannot be forget,

everything has its own time.

Oh anyway:

-I found a lot of pictures of me and Ocha, but now I know nothing about her. :(

-I also found a lot of weird pictures of Chita, I don't know how.

-I just realized that my room back in Mundinglaya 8 is the coziest (yet messiest) place on earth (at least for me). And it's also photogenic!! :D

Since last week, my cell phone provider went on and off all the time, mostly off by the way, so practically I can't send and receive short messages, phone calls and any internet services. And since I work alone, it's kinda driving me crazy, I already being isolated physically; and this communication jam, isolated me more, to be exact, virtually.

That makes me realize, I hate my condition right now, hate it very much, I miss having friends around, I miss random chit chat. Tho sometimes I'm a lil' bit anti-social, but after all I am a human and I need other people.

I have so many thoughts these past two weeks; I won't write it here, but in short, I just hope in the future, I'll be there, where I need and want to be. Have my career, my family, and my social life.

Litya just got back from Singapore last three weeks, and she gave me these as souvenirs. She said she couldn't help but bought the chinese lampions as those things remind her of me who's currently stranded in china town.

And the surprise, because she has this unique office hour that makes us hardly meet, she decided to gave my birthday present yesterday, my birthday won't come till next month, I'm still 22, but whatsoever, she let me open the present earlier, so on my way home, I open the 'magic box' she made from her office's folder, and... Iya emang saya semi bodo jg, kesepet gara2 film murahan.
Intinya gr2 film itu bbrp bulan terakhir saya selalu minum latte, cappuccino atau kopi2 manis dan fancy lainnya, sampe kmrn pas pulang, papa saya pamer coffee machine baru dan kopi sesuatu yg dia beli krn bungkusnya bagus bgt dan ternyata rasanya jg mantep bgt, dan setelah sekian lama, akhirnya saya minum segelas espresso, dan, sejak saat itu, saya mantep yakin kalo apapun yg terjadi dan apapun kata orang, kopi item pait dan espresso itu tetep yg plg enak menurut saya. Kopi pait yg sekali tenggak ada sensasi "nembak" dan lgsg sampe otak, itu enak banget. Latte itu bikin enek dan pusing, espresso itu enak. Titik.

Had lunch with Litya at Basilico, gnocchi and wine, found the phenomenal tag line on the wine menu.
Met Boy and her dad, and faced the fact that we accidentally wore (almost) the same outfit: plaid red flanel/outerwear. Embarrassing.
Went to my aunt's apartement, had magic pop conversation after a while, gossiping, and all.
Then we had kuotie dinner at Hayam Wuruk with my Dad and my aunt's family.
Came back to the apartement. Just the three of us with Luke, Estevan, and the guys? Heaven.
Had instant noodle and egg for breakfast.
Litya and Boy went back home around 2 or 3 pm, left me all alone with the guys.

I really wish, when we turn 50 we will still have this kind of inside amusement that can fill our heart and mind and take us away for a while from any problem we carry on our shoulders, tho of course we'll 'maybe' already forget about the guys and have other topic, oooor, not? Haha. We'll see.

So today I had this reunion with my former housemates, Tia and Alit at Gandaria City.

It all went so normal, we met at Metro around 4 pm, and because it's almost time to break the fasting / iftar --> buka puasa kata google translate bhs inggrisnya itu -- for Alit so we went directly to Eat n Eat (some kind of food court -- emang food court sih ya?) and after half an hour (or more) we finally found a table, tho it's actually a reserved long table, but they had 3 seats left for us. Alit had her iftar while Tia and me had our early dinner.

Nah, after that, the weird things started to happen. To be exact it was started when we went to this bar/cafe/restaurant named Beerdiology or Beerdy on the ground floor. I was caught by its interior design that kinda familiar in some way with a place in my head (nah lo). And here we go, the list of some weirdness happened there:

1. Kursi jebakan betmen.
Me and Tia went to that place first because Alit had to pray (solat), we chose a table which has a mix of dining chair and banquet sofa chair as the seaters (yeah I know, a mix of words in wrong grammatical order (again), my bad, my bad), in the non-smoking area, and we both directly sat at the banquet sofa. Okay, me and Tia aren't those skinny bitches, but also not that fat, and you should know what did that banquet sofa did to us? It's (almost) fell forward, that was a very long banquet sofa for two long table (the table next to us were empty at that time), it's supposed to be solid and glued to the wall, it must be stayed, but in this case, the sofa stands alone and apparently (more likely) not that solid, that Tia quickly move to the dining chair and we had this thought that when both of the table were full that means the sofa was fulfill with people from side to side, it'll be very uncomfortable if there's one person moves too much and the sofa keeps shaking as the person moves, and the others from the next table will also shaking because they actually sit on one long sofa. *hope you can get what I mean here

2. Limited menu, 'side dish', and beer.
Alit hadn't come back yet, so me and Tia made our order first. The waiter gave us the food and beverages menu, then we realized there're only a few choice for us, because we've just had our dinner, we've actually come there for a drink, coffee or beer to be exact (that's why we went to BEERdy for God sake). We asked the waiter whether there's any other choice -- hidden menu or else, but no, so finally we ordered two glasses of lemon tea.
Then Alit came, and the waiter came to our table again for Alit's order. Alit wears veil -- fyi. When the waiter came at the first time, he didn't say anything about beer, but when Alit came, he told her "we're also has some beer from the bar", he told that directly to Alit who wore veil. WOW. Finally Alit decided to have my lemon tea while I re-ordered. He said they only have Heineken and Bintang, so I ordered Bintang. But later on, other waiter came and told me that apparently they can't get the Bintang out (they have it but can't get it out, weird huh?) so finally I gave up and ordered Heineken.

Ah yah, Alit asked the waiter if there's a snack menu -- light meals or so, and the waiter asked us 'what's light meals?' (we said makanan ringan actually in bahasa Indonesia) and then after some weird explanation from us, he pointed to the side dishes option, and those were 'mashed potato, baked potato, and lyio--- something something potato' please tell me none of you think mashed potato was a perfect light meals with coffee/tea/beer.

3. Synthetic grass fell in synthetic lemon tea.
The lemon tea came, and it taste like mineral water with a barely tasted lemony flavor. Alit hates it so bad, she only drank 1/4 of hers. Tia neither, but she still drank it anyway till I saw this greeny little thing fell into her glass, and after she took it out, it was the from the synthetic grass decor. EUWH.

4. Family business?
The table behind our table was full with some people that we guess, were the owner and the family. They keep come and go and made some gesture that we had this feeling that maybe some things weren't went well today. Including some things happened to us huh? They supposed to hear our never ending conversation about the minuses in their restaurant, since we sat close to each other and me-Alit-and Tia were talk loudly.

5. THE BOMBASTIS WAITER.
I asked the waiter for the bill, and this is what happened:
The waiter came with this 'bill purse' (i don't know what its name) then I open it, and found it was the wrong bill, it said 'two heineken and one corona beer'
me: Mas, salah nih mas (it's the wrong bill)
waiter: coba liat (let me see)
me: saya kan pesennya dua lemon tea satu heineken (we ordered two lemon tea and one heineken)
waiter: ini meja berapa ya mbak (what's table is it?)
fyi -- there's no table number/sign system on the table
me: mana saya tau (i don't know)
waiter: oh bener ini mbak (oh it's right!)
me: HAH?!! saya kan pesennya dua lemon tea satu heineken!! bukan dua heineken satu corona (WHAT?! we ordered two lemon tea and one heineken, not two heineken one corona)
waiter: iya, bener, bener salah input (yes, right, it's right that we made some mistake)
I only have one word for the waiter: JUARA!

Ah ya, if you noticed, the waiter said they only had Bintang and Heineken beer when we ordered, but on the wrong bill, there's also Corona beer actually, none of us like and would order Corona, but hey, the point is he gave the false info (again).

Yeah after all, this place's interior is cool, they've just open last Wednesday, so today's their fourth day and their first weekend, so some mistakes can be accepted I guess. We planned to go there again three or more months after this, we hope there'll be much more choices on the menus, including more beers/cocktail options. And also some light meals/snacks/cakes. We'll see.

Yeah, today's great anyway. Finally met Alit and Tia and shared these weird experiences. Hope to meet you guys again soon, hopefully Uti and Mbak Mayang (the other housemates) can make it at that time. *group hug*

I had this plan to spend the night at my aunt but suddenly I changed my mind and decided to just stay at home all alone (my mom and sisters live out of town and my Dad's currently there for a visit).
So I just spent some hours at my aunt then had my cousin dropped me back home, but then he insisted to make a little visit. First he was busy with the computer and the 'suddenly super fast internet connection', then he got busy watched tv, that later on he decided to spend the night. Now I'm busy reading some dwell magazines while David -- my cousin can't keep his eyes far from the monitor.

I'm a bit of a loner in some cases, but having a companion is definitely feels better than being alone.

Oh in case you read this, yes you, I prefer real friends than the ones in Twitter or Y!m windows.

while only having 10K IDR, two Navel oranges and a full plate of Minangnese rice (nasi Padang -- just so you know). That's what I did on my country 66th independence day last Wednesday.
After had instant food for breakfast, being the VIP guest on busway, ate unworthy chicken dishes just because I fell for the shocking yellow giant chicken doll in front of its kiosk -- what a magical marketing plan, or what an empty brain I got at that time, watched Kungfu Panda TWO at TWO PM in auditorium TWO for TWO.

Life is sucks in some ways, but also good in some ways. ;-)

Happy independence day Indonesia *I know it's too late*, I really wish there'll be a figure like Mr. Soeharto (RIP) later, he's my favorite. Amen.

My Dad's so proud that he'd just found out that his android phone can convert your voice to text. So if you wanna send a message you don't need to type it, just say it then the machine will type it to you.
And this evening, he was supposed to pick me from office around 6 to 6:30 PM, but he caught some problem that would make him late, so suddenly this message came to my cell phone:

"How are you your dragon is kinda new york k x l a x ya believe you know sorry I'm gonna b late because you have 55 minutes a day"

I am very very very confused that later on he said, it supposed to be like this:

"Where are you? Have you finished with your work? I've got caught by the traffic, so I'm gonna be late for about 30 to 45 minutes."

beside the 'the table top has to be very clean and dry' ocd, i also have the 'everything should be on the right measurement and rotation angle' ocd.

so today i work with 3ds max again after a veeeery long time of not using it at all,
i've asked abi how to set the snap to object thingy on 3d max
and he said there's no such thing like that, 'you're using 3d max not sketchup'
so just like he said, i'd just 'ngira2' the movements of my objects.
that suddenly after i finished my work (almost) halfway
i found the snap and grid set up
****sat!!
and because i have the heavy ocd problem, i lost the mood to continue that sh*t
i feel like i HAVE TO start the 3d all over again,
so i told my boss about that
and he gave me the permission to email the task to him on sunday.

i never feel so happy to have to work on weekend.
and apparently, litya and boy ever have the thought to gave me ruler as a present.
oh dear friends, please give me one, i lost my 30cm ruler and only have the 1meter ruler which is very not 'praktis' and it's killing me. busur juga dong. *busur bahasa inggrisnya apa ya?

When I was still live from my parents' money, I can say I never unfinished my meal no matter how bad it taste or how full I am. I always have this mind set that my parents have been worked so hard to be able to give me the money, so let say finishing my meal is one of so many ways to pay it off.
But now, since I live from my own salary, I have this thought that 'it's all up to me, I don't like the food? So just leave it, I'm full enough? So just stop eating.'
And that's what I do now, in almost every meal time. I should stop this, shouldn't I?

So, apparently, in here -Pantai Indah Kapuk- traffic light and helmet are not necessary, they keep passing the traffic light no matter it's green, yellow, or even red (that means STOP in Indonesia), and no one wear helmet.
Zebra cross doesn't exist here, I guess everyone here owns a vehicle, because there's literally no fucking zebra cross and everyone - literally everyone run their vehicle like they're on a highway. On my first day, I took angkot to go back home to my dorm, that means I have to cross two streets, and base on that experience, I swear to myself I won't EVER take that route again that the next day which is today, I asked my dorm's caretaker to picked me up from office every fucking night, I think that's the best decision, I'm too precious to get hit by a Ferrari driven by a high school student, huh? Ah yah, about the everyone here owns a vehicle thingy, pedestrian here is very empty, no one walks, and people keep staring at you if you walk, like it's so not normal to walk on a pedestrian. Oh ya, it's also very dark, no lights beside the vehicles' light, it's a very elite suburban for god sake, turn on the lights!!
Yeah after all, my job is okay, my dorm is fine. But the neighborhood kills me. Hope I can make it through it.

Oh thanks to my dad, right at this time I'm enjoying sushi dinner with him, he came all the way here to treat me my favorite food. He said nice food is important, never think twice in spending your money on good food -- it's not a good advice according on how I spend my money on 'good' food actually, haha; after all, it's the best way to wipe away all the annoying feelings. Again, thanks Papa, I love you very very much.

I've been through so many stages in life, trust me, I'm not lying.

Some bad things happened because of my own stupidity or other's,

and some good things also happened because I'm so cool and smart (apeuw).

All in all, I have so many reasons why I have the right to be sad.

I had ever been in this dark ages anyway, use my condition as an excuse.

To be sad and whiny.

And times after times, I learn.

I'm telling you, whoever feels or thinks that your problem is the biggest and hardest one,

it's nothing, you sucker. There are always people with bigger problem than you, don't go too deep with it.

You are so suck for drown yourself in such a pity way and push anybody else -who actually care- over.

I somehow feels ashamed when I read my past posts. Been thinking to erase this blog, but I can't learn then, I think I can use this blog as a remembrance that I should never drown in the mud again.

Life is too short and somehow too precious to be punished.

I know this post would sounds like 'blah', but after all I'm just trying to tell myself and hopefully this would do good favor too for anyone who read it.

Pompom itu anjing pompom punya tante saya (agak nggak kreatif ya ngasi namanya). Dan seminggu ke depan pompom dititip d rmh saya krn tante saya mudik ke solo.
Dan pagi ini, pas saya sm papa lg nyiap2in sarapan, terus ngintip dikit keluar, astaganaga bener2 deh, teras rmh saya kacau balau, dan yg paling hebohnya, dr segala tempat yg bisa dia jadiin tmp favorit, dia milih kolam ikan!! Jadi dia nyebur ke kolam ikan!! Masaolo, jd basah semua deh, pompom basah, teras rmh jg basah semua, teratai yg disayang2 papa saya jd ga jelas bentuknya semua, moga2 aja ikan2nya ga ada yg kemakan pompom ya, walo udh dipastikan pd stres semua.

Sebagai fans berat tamusu goreng, sekarang saya punya restoran favorit makan tamusu goreng kedua, Ampera 2 Tak di Cikini, Menteng.
Papa saya blg, he's been a fan of this rumah makan khas sunda cianjur sejak masih tenda kaki lima di bawah jembatan.
Pokoknya kalau mau makan tamusu goreng di sini jgn lupa minta digorengin agak kering, jd krenyes2 di luar tp soft and chewy di dalem, nyum~~
Aduuuh, bener-bener deh kalau ada peri nyuruh saya milih satu makanan gak sehat yg bs saya makan sebanyak apapun kapanpun sampe umur berapapun tanpa ada efek apa-apa sama sekali, that'll be tamusu goreng.

Oh iya, restoran favorit makan tamusu goreng nomer satu saya itu di Ampera di Jl. Supratman, Bandung. Percaya deh. Rasanya beda sm Ampera-ampera lainnya.. Mak nyossss~~

So this is a fact that beside fulfilling my boss and client's hearts by done the tasks they gave me, I also really have to -no excuse- fulfill my heart by meeting these persons.

1. Lalataya and Deedee. Been used to meet both of them almost everyday with too many inside jokes and amusements (example? the ainks. that's enough, huh?) make the days without them feels so boring. Okay 'them' here might refers more to the inside jokes and amusement yah.. :P

And specially for now, we really have to meet for the sake of food (kroket and cheese), touching2 iPod-touch-baru-alhamdulilah, hear some stories about Europe and introducing Luke to the girls.

*iya deh ngaku, aslinya emang kangen berat sama kalian, walo ga ada kroket-keju-iPod baru-ato luke sekalipun... maafkan ahjumma kantoran ini ya, gabisa ditemuin pas weekday.

2. Ririn, Echa, and Eilien. and Erick -Echa's son. Too many things to catch up after years of not meeting each other. And oh, there's always a place for stories about the old times in this case.

3. Iche. Since high school I always know she'll be succeed, and she is now. So many things I should learn from her, we have to meet for the sake of our career, and friendship of course.

4. Tia, Mbak Mayang, Utie, Alit. APA??!! MBAK MAYANG MAU FOTO PRE-WED??!!

5. Mbak Henny & Mbak Fira. Blood is thicker than water.

I am desperately in need of a better time management. Blah!

Dessy gave me a list of some bands with female vocalist, and I'm totally fell for Pomplamoose!!
Once I downloaded the albums, the album's artwork already caught my heart even before I heard their music, and once I listened to 'Tribute to Famous People' my heart totally felt for the vocalist voice, she has that type of voice I wanna have!!
And the music? I heard it first time in Patas AC (public bus in Jakarta) so I just sit and did nothing, but I'm telling you, deep down inside, my body is dancing to the music, it's playful and sounds sooo happy.
My favorite so far was Aerosmith cover of 'Don't Wanna Miss A Thing' from the album Tribute to Famous People.
I'll gave you the download link later once I can connect to blogger via my PC.

After a very tiring working day I decided to go grocery shopping a bit before going home.

I went to a well-known supermarket located in Puri Indah, Jakarta (there are 2 to 3 supermarkets in the area, I'll let you guess which one it is).

I just stepped my foot on the tiles from the escalator while a happy face guy in bright red polo shirt with the supermarket logo printed on it, came to me and yelled 'selamat siaaaang bs minta waktunya sebentar' his face was so close to mine I was so shock that my respond was only stare at him for a while, say 'sorry' in a very low volume - I guess he didn't hear it, then continued my way to deposit counter to put my heavy bag -with the guy still continue yelling 'sebentar saja mbak, kita nggak jualan lhooooo~'. *in a very very very annoying pitch*

After putting my bag, I went straight to the supermarket entrance gate while the guy already waited for me with grumpy face, then said (or yelled) at me in a very very very very cynical way 'eh mbak, mbak, have a nice day yah.'

I can't decide who's wrong here, but one thing I wanna tell that guy: SANTAI KALI MAS!
